What's in the Stars? Aynne McAvoy The new year of 2008 has lots of wonderful beginnings! Jupiter of course is moving into Capricorn in January 2008. The last time it was in that placement was 1999. For a sneak preview of what that means to you personally, review what occurred in your life at that time. Jupiter is usually quite a jovial old soul, and brings happiness and good luck wherever it lands. I personally think it is great to bring that kind of sunshine into somber Capricorn for a whole year! Jupiter also means expansion, so whatever house it happens to fall in your personal chart would see expansion. For example, it falls in my sixth house of health and service. This interprets to better than average good health for me, feeling great and lots of energy, as well as getting involved in one or more service projects to better mankind. Woot! Now, the second BIG news item is that Pluto moves into Capricorn also on January 25th. It hasn't been there in that location in the sky since 1778! Just imagine! The last time Pluto was in Capricorn, our country was fighting the Revolutionary war! Now, this doesn't necessarily mean we are about to start yet another war. However, remember that one issue that brought about that particular war was taxes! Well, now we once again have unfair taxes (especially here in New York State), however this time it is our own country unfairly taxing us! Could we expect some kind of overturning of the tax laws as we currently see them? I wouldn't be at all surprised. Recall that Pluto brings intensity into whatever house it is in. As it enters the sign of Capricorn, who is very fiscally careful and cautious, we could well see change. I personally wouldn't expect change overnight due to the placement in Capricorn. We see the slow and sure mountain goat headed up the mountain. When we look at Jupiter's entrance into this situation, I can only expect much better things for this coming year. To see how Pluto will be affecting you for the next sixteen years, I've made a very brief chart for you to keep handy. Pluto rules birth, death and extreme transformation, among other things. Please remember that each house rules many of our daily issues and it isn't space efficient to write each one out. 1st House - Changes and transformation within the self. Trial by fire. 2nd House - Earned income - more definitive choice of career path. Less Burger King flippers, more doctors and lawyers. 3rd House - Communications will be more intense, with the purpose of positive life change. 4th House - Home life becomes primary in the life path; spending quality time with family. 5th House-The presence of Pluto here affects the way all males and females date and mate. 6th House - Health insurance will be revolutionized. 7th House - Expect to see drops in the divorce rate; marriage/home revolutionized. 8th House - Pluto specialty! Look for big transformations in credit cards, debt, legal issues. 9th House - Revolution in this country's educational system -- expect big changes here. 10th House - What is considered status symbols will change-less fluff, more solid. 11th House - Big changes in politics and laws. How we choose our friends changes. 12th House - Karmic house-important. Hidden resources will finally surface. Numerological speaking, 2008 is also a ONE year. (2+0+0+8=10=1). The month of Jan would equal a TWO for us all month long -- so it is a great time to work with others to get projects done and begin to create our dreams with another.
