What's in the Stars for July? |
|
There
is much to be said this month about the two eclipses crowning
the skies. The first eclipse in Leo on the first day of
August literally starts the month off with a bang. The
total eclipse of the Sun occurs at 9 degrees Leo. Mercury
will also be 11 degrees Leo that day. As usual, I recommend
that you get that chart out that you had done on http://www.alabe.com/freechart/ .

Find
where Leo is in your chart. See what house Leo falls
into. Now look to see what degree that house falls in,
as well as any planets in that house. Since the eclipse is
in 9 degrees Leo, we would be interested in anything from 1
degree to 18 degrees Leo.
Remember
that Leo's keynotes are I WILL, Creativity, Vitality, Self
Confidence, Expansive, Regal and proud, and dramatic. The
Sabian symbol for 9 degrees Leo is: Glass blowers shape
beautiful vases with their controlled breathing.
Eclipses always uncover that which has been hidden, so watch out that your pride of sense of drama don't take control over an important situation. Some things are better left hidden from view.
The
lunar eclipse occurs on August 16 in 24 degrees Aquarius.
Once again, check your birth chart to see what house this will
fall into, as well as any planets located there that may be
'eclipsed'. The keynotes for Aquarius are I KNOW,
Humanitarian, Inventive and intuitive, intellectually curious,
investigate, aspiring and versatile. The Sabian symbol for 24
degrees Aquarius is: A man, having overcome his passions,
teaches deep wisdom in terms of his experience.
As
I've mentioned before, there is some disagreement among
astrologers as to the length of time an eclipse will continue to
affect you. I am of the school of thought that the effects
last for several months afterwards, especially if there are
strong aspects made to natal planets, or the eclipse occurs in
an angular house.
Now,
we'll take a very quick look at what each house represents, so
you can tie this all together.
First
House - If the eclipse falls on your ascendant, the
eclipse will touch you personally and physically.
Beware of accidents! Pay close attention to what you are
doing and don't let your mind wander. This eclipse could
bring favorable changes into your life when well aspected.
Second
House - this is the house of earned income; how you make your
money. An eclipse here can foretell a windfall!
Third
House - the house of communications in all forms. An
eclipse here could foretell a new car, or extended short
distance trips.
Fourth
House - This is the house of home - people in and around the
home as well as the building itself. An eclipse here can
often foretell a new wonderful home coming!
Fifth
House - An eclipse in this house of children and fun
and significant other can bring all of that and more into your
life! This could mean a new romance or the birth of a new child.
For gamblers, this would be the day to buy a lotto ticket.
Sixth
House - when this house is eclipsed it indicates changes in
health matters, diet, and exercise. A new health regime
could be in order.
Seventh
House - the house of marriage and/or business relationships. The
changes that come could be happening to your partner, and
therefore affect you.
Eighth
House - This is the house of joint finances, such as taxes,
inheritances, joint savings accounts, etc. If the eclipse
here is well aspected it could bring a better financial
time for you.
Ninth
House - An eclipse in the house of long distance travel or
higher education could well bring a long distance trip that
changes your life, or a new course of study or class that you
take, that would also change your life and put you on a new
path.
Tenth
House - When the house of Career is eclipsed we have to look
closely at what is going on there. This is also the house
of social standing, so there could be a great new promotion in
the wings for you!
Eleventh
House - This house rules goals and friends, and a sudden change
in a dearly held goal may be revealed for you, enabling you to
finally proceed.
Twelfth House
- when the house of Karma and self undoing is eclipsed, there is
most likely a secret or something from the past that is going
to be revealed. Once again, make sure your T's are
crossed and your I's are dotted here.
As
usual, take what you need and leave the rest. The stars
impel, they do not compel.
