So first let's review what the keywords for these two planets are. 

 

Saturn: Saturn is also described as being the symbol of resistance to change.   He draws the lines in the sand and insists that you cannot cross it.  However, Saturn manifests itself within you, as an aspect of yourself that may not like the rules much, but has to learn to respect them anyway.  It often shows up in the conservative part of yourself, as being the part of you that knows that whatever is gained, must be worked hard for.   Saturn is often called the hard task master, in that we learn the lessons that we should, and there is really no avoiding it.

 

Uranus:   Talk about opposites!  This planet is like the teenager who sneaks out the window to go to the concert with their friends.  This planet loves to break the rules and wave personal freedom like a flag.  Uranus likes to rush into a die hard situation and shake things up and let the pieces fall as they may.  Uranus will help break those boundaries that are set, giving you the key to freedom and self expression.  Uranus loves to blaze a brand new path where none has gone before, surprising all that watch from the sidelines.  He is the magical wizard who whips up the spell that unlocks the door to the tower and sets the princess free.

 

So, you may begin to get an idea what we are in for  with these two planets in opposition for the next year and a half!  Two powerful forces at odds with each other!  There is light at the end of the tunnel, however.  With any opposition,  even those two such powerful forces in debate, there is compromise to be had, and this is the magical word you need to know to find your way out.
